What is Tequixcal?
Tequixcal is not a brand, its a type of distilled spirit; made from 100% Californian Grown and Distilled Tequilana Agave Spirit. Crafted from the single, noble varietal Agave Tequilana also known as Blue Weber Agave, we honor centuries of expertise. Every bottle is made from baked piñas, crushed and distilled using methods perfected through generations. We offer a purely Californian alternative, true to the classic process, just made right here.
The heart of this spirit is the agave piña. After harvesting, these piñas are slowly baked in traditional brick ovens to convert their starches into sugars. They're then crushed—historically using a stone wheel called a tahona—to extract the sweet juice. This liquid is naturally fermented and finally, double distilled in copper pot stills, a commitment to time and technique that defines quality from start to finish.
